Mahsooli is built on trust — with farmers, agricultural unions, input dealers, and lenders. This policy explains clearly what information we collect, why we need it, and how we protect it. We do not sell your data.

Mahsooli is an agricultural platform operating in Sudan. We provide smallholder farmers with access to seasonal input financing, connecting them with verified input suppliers and lenders. Our registered entity is Mahsooli Solutions Co. Ltd. References to "Mahsooli", "we", "us", or "our" in this policy refer to Mahsooli Solutions Co. Ltd. and its operations.
2. Information we collect
We collect information in three ways: directly from you, through your use of our services, and from third-party partners.
Information you provide:
- Name, phone number, and location (village, state)
- National identification number or union membership ID
- Farm details: size, crop type, land tenure, irrigation access
- Household details
Information generated through our service:
- Loan application status, disbursement records, and repayment history
- Input collection confirmations from partner dealers
- Crop delivery and offtake records at harvest
- Remote sensing data (satellite imagery) used to monitor crop health — this data is aggregated and does not personally identify you
Information from partners:
- Agricultural union membership verification and crop history
- Credit reference checks conducted by our banking partners
3. How we use your information
We use your information only for purposes directly related to delivering our service:
- Assessing your eligibility for seasonal input financing
- Disbursing and managing your loan through our lending partners
- Coordinating input collection with our verified dealer network
- Processing crop sale proceeds and loan repayments at harvest
- Improving our risk models and service quality (using anonymised data)
- Communicating with you about your application, loan status, and upcoming seasons
We do not use your personal information for advertising or marketing to third parties.
4. How we share your information
We share your information only where necessary to deliver our service or comply with the law:
- Lending partners: to process loan disbursements and repayments. Your loan data is shared under formal data-sharing agreements.
- Verified input dealers: we share your name and Mahsooli ID number to confirm you are an approved customer when you collect inputs.
- Agricultural unions: for membership verification and, in aggregate, seasonal performance reporting.
- Regulators and legal authorities: where required by Sudanese law.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data.
5. Data retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services. Records are retained for a minimum of seven (7) years in compliance with regulations. You may request deletion of non-regulatory data at any time by contacting us.
6. Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Request deletion of data we are not legally required to retain
- Withdraw consent for optional data uses at any time
- Lodge a complaint with the relevant Sudanese data protection authority
