Terms & Conditions
Effective date: 1 May 2026 · Last updated: May 2026
These Terms & Conditions govern your access to and use of Mahsooli's platform, services, and any related communications. By registering with Mahsooli or using our services, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.
1. About Mahsooli
Mahsooli is an agricultural platform that helps smallholder farmers in Sudan access seasonal input financing. We facilitate connections between farmers, verified input dealers, agricultural unions, and lending partners. Mahsooli acts as an intermediary and operational service provider — we are not a bank and do not hold a banking licence. Actual loan products are provided by our licensed lending partners.
2. Eligibility
To use Mahsooli's services, you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Be a Sudanese national.
- Hold valid national identification or agricultural union membership
- Be engaged in active agricultural activity in Sudan
- Provide truthful and complete information during registration
Mahsooli reserves the right to decline applications or suspend accounts that do not meet these criteria or where information provided is found to be inaccurate.
3. The financing process
Mahsooli's seasonal input financing works as follows:
- You apply for financing at the start of the agricultural season
- Mahsooli assesses your application using a risk scoring model and, where applicable, union records and satellite data
- Approved financing is disbursed directly to a verified input dealer — not as cash to you
- You collect your inputs from the dealer by presenting your Mahsooli ID
- At harvest, crop sale proceeds are used to settle your financing obligation before the remaining balance is paid to you
Important: Loan approval is not guaranteed. Mahsooli and its lending partners reserve the right to decline, defer, or adjust the amount of any financing application based on risk assessment, credit history, or available funds.
4. Your responsibilities
As a Mahsooli user, you agree to:
- Provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information at registration and throughout your use of the service
- Use financing solely for the agricultural inputs stated in your application
- Deliver your harvest through Mahsooli's designated offtake process where required by your agreement
- Notify Mahsooli promptly of any significant changes to your farming situation, crop failure, or inability to repay
- Not share your Mahsooli ID or account credentials with third parties
- Comply with all applicable Sudanese laws, agricultural regulations, and union rules
5. Repayment obligations
You are responsible for repaying any financing disbursed on your behalf in full, including any applicable service charges, in accordance with the terms agreed at the time of your loan approval.
Failure to repay may result in:
- Ineligibility for future seasons of Mahsooli financing
- Referral of your account to our banking partner for recovery proceedings
- Reporting to agricultural credit registers where applicable
If you are facing difficulty repaying, contact Mahsooli as early as possible. We will work with you to find a fair resolution wherever possible.
6. Input dealers and partners
Mahsooli verifies and onboards input dealers to our network, but we do not manufacture, inspect, or guarantee the quality of agricultural inputs supplied. If you have a complaint about inputs received from a dealer, notify Mahsooli within 5 days of collection and we will facilitate resolution. Mahsooli is not liable for losses arising from defective inputs beyond facilitating that process.
7. Intellectual property
All content on the Mahsooli platform — including our name, logo, website content, and proprietary tools — is owned by Mahsooli Ltd. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use our intellectual property without written permission.
8. Limitation of liability
Mahsooli provides its platform and services on a reasonable-efforts basis. To the extent permitted by Sudanese law, Mahsooli is not liable for:
- Crop losses, weather events, or external factors beyond our control
- Delays in loan disbursement caused by our lending partners
- Loss of income arising from input quality disputes
- Actions or omissions of agricultural unions, dealers, or offtakers
Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, or matters that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
9. Suspension and termination
Mahsooli may suspend or terminate your access to our services if you breach these terms, provide false information, misuse financing, or act in a way that harms other users or our partners. Where possible, we will notify you and give you an opportunity to respond before taking action.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to registered users before they take effect. Continued use of our services after changes are notified constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Sudan. Any disputes arising from your use of Mahsooli's services shall be subject to the jurisdiction of Sudanese courts, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
